A watery, disgusting, and AWESOME clean-up!

An old page out of a book, just hanging from a branch!
We did our awesome clean-up at Soquel Creek.

Looking into the murky water for small scraps of trash.

There were many pieces of paper in the trees because 0f the rain.

Through the deep, dark and damp underbrush in search of the
fabled garbage.

Yay! My sister Coco found an old plastic bag.

Ewwww! Something old and damp and probably gross.

Reach for the garbage!

OUR LOOT!!!!!!

After we did "Clean up your Creek" we biked around my
sister's school track.

Soquel Elementary really needed a clean up and it got it !

We went to Soquel Elementary with my mom because my dad had to work.
We cleaned most of the school but when we were done it still looked a little dirty,
but everything helps!

My sister picked up even the smallest things to help.

Shallow water, ok clean up

We went to my little sister Coco's school last weekend to pick up trash.

It was really shallow in the creek, so we could walk on rocks most of the time.

My dad is walking over the rocks with his little bag of garbage.

A shadowy part of the creek.

A soda can in the mucky water.

A plastic bag tangled in some low branches.

My little sister (Coco) looking for little pieces of trash.

Our loot! We each had a bag.

A Beautiful Place with Disgusting Garbage

The bridge at Waddell Creek, up the coast where we did
Clean up your Creek last weekend.

This is the view when you get out from under the bridge.
We went through the shallow water to get to an old rotten tree; we sat on it.

This is the view from the log.

Another photo of the log.

My dad holding an icky piece of garbage that he found in the brush.

My dad walking down the beach next to the river.

Me looking at a piece of garbage in the middle of the beach.

Me wading through a shallow part of the creek.

My dad climbed and clambered over rocks and through grasses
to get to an old Cheetos bag.

So did I !

My dad walking through the sand dunes to look for trash.

Me grabbing a piece of trash in the bushes- a plastic bag.

Our Special Projects

Today my grandpa, my dad and I went to Soquel creek near Nob Hill to take out the grocery cart we found last Clean up your creek.

Another grocery cart just thrown in last night; we took it to Nob Hill.

A view of where the old grocery cart is next to Nob Hill.

The grocery cart.

My Grandpa and I turning over the cart full of leaves.

Me cleaning the cart.

My grandpa pulling the grocery cart up the little path.

Me coming to the rescue to help my grandpa.

After that we went to Aptos creek to pull out another cart we found two Clean up your creeks ago.

The cart wheel at Aptos creek that we did later in the day.

My uncle, grandpa and I. I'm turning the crank ( comealong) to help pull out the cart.

My uncle digging out the cart.

A photo of my uncle.

My dad fixing the comealong.

All four of the grocery cart's wheels are out!

It's upright and I see a piece of the cart's plastic part.

My grandpa and my uncle taking out the cart.

The yucky cart in black water.

A Safeway cart.

The old grocery cart but the sign is still there.

My grandpa loading the cart into his truck.

We dropped off the carts at the Buena Vista landfill.

We had to roll the carts off the edge of the cliff into the bin.

I made a photo of a recycle bin.

We picked up some mulch because my grandpa needed some.
